MASTER PRECISE

Who doesn't love eyeliner. I remember the days of caking my water lines with a black kohl pencil, ohhh how I don't miss those days. I love liquid liner, it's such a rewarding feeling to get your eyeliner matching and symmetrical. Even if it does take a good few hours

I have been using the Benefit "they're real! push-up eyeliner" for around a year now and it really is amazing. I have just ran out and thought I would try a cheaper highstreet brand. I saw the Maybelline Master precise and for £5.99, it looked good. I like how they offer a brown shade instead of the cult black shade. Because my eyelids are quite small, black can often make them look even smaller.

Firstly, the shade is great, I really love it. It's not as harsh as a black shade and it looks great with my daily smokey eye. In terms of the product itself, I wasn't all too impressed. It took for too many layers to make it look near as good as my Benefit Liner. The product seemed to dry out so quickly and I would need to dab the nib to soak it in the product again. It was frustrating because the actual nib is the perfect shape and allowed me to get a nice wing with ease. The pen was easy to hold and navigate around my eye. I really do with it was more pigmented because the Benefit liner has set such a high standard. I have become accustomed to the Benefit gel consistency which is so easy to apply and slicks onto the eye perfectly, I just didn't get the same satisfaction with this product. I feel that if there is any product on the eye, the Master Precise will then refuse to apply. It's almost as if the shadow and foundation dry it out. This does not work for me as I always wear shadow!

All in all I would not purchase again, however, I do love the nib and hope the formulae improves in the future!

THAT HIGHLIGHTER

We have all heard of this highlighter. I have resisted it for so long and I have finally given in. I am so glad to have purchased this as it really is a holy grail product. I am actually writing this with sad heart as I have misplaced it, I can't find it anywhere!! However, I thought I would write my review anyway as I need to rave about how impressed I have been.

I have always used highlighters, I have a few reviews posted over the past few years. I have to admit, I have never tried anything like this. This product really is everything. It may look like an innocent little powder, however, it is a god. The product goes on flawlessly and gives you a beautiful highlight, it is perfect for dewy looks. I love that the product blends perfectly so there are no harsh lines, a little is enough as it is such a strong highlight. I always used to look at models in magazines and wonder how their highlight was so amazing, I now know. I have to repurchase as I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms, it's quite sad, I genuinely miss it. It is pricey, however, Feel Unique always have different offers on so try to buy it when it's at it's cheapest. It really is worth it!

Let me know what you think! I am so over the moon with the finish and happy to have found such a brilliant product, I can't rave enough about it! Once I have the product in my hands again, I will upload a photo showing how it looks!

CERAMIDE CREAM BUSH

As I have mentioned before, blush can be slightly daunting for those with acne. The red pigment in the blemishes and then the blush can be a little overwhelming. I have recently been experimenting with blush and the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush is a perfect contender.

I haven't used a cream blush before, the only similar product in terms of application is the dream matte mousse blushers. By application I mean it is more of a product that you work into the skin such as a foundation, rather than a powder. Firstly, I love the packaging of this product, it really does look luxury. The addition of the mirror further makes it a staple as It is the perfect size and so clear! The product is extremely silky and goes onto the skin so smoothly. It is very easy to work in and only a tiny bit is required for a lovely pinched effect.

I have never really purchased from Elizabeth Arden before, in fact, this was a gift. I do think the price is slightly extravagant and I would not personally pay this. Not because I did not like the product, but purely because I can't justify £27 on a small product as a student. I have to say, I think these are gorgeous little products and I am so glad to have it in my makeup bag! I will use it sparingly!

HM CAPSULE WISH LIST

Long time no speak? I have been awful at blogging over the past month and it's due to a mixture of things (work, work, work, work). I am in the middle of setting up a business so that has been my main focus over the summer. It seems odd looking back and thinking how I have always wanted to work in design and create stationery, and now it is becoming a reality. I will be launching my stationery business on October 5th, I will do a full post about it soon! I guess I was just fed up looking for stationery that looked good and had a pretty interior as well as exterior. I find that in America the stationery world is amazing! They really do take organisation to the next level! I want  to fill in the gap in the UK and create something for others who also get slightly giddy when buying stationery.

Anyway, I thought I would post my HM wish list as I have been obsessed with them lately. I find that they allow me to stay in fashion without spending large amounts of money on one item! They are amazing for basic clothing items that can become staples in all seasons! As you can tell my wardrobe isn't on any terms colourful. I always tend to stick to neutral tones and colour with say a lipstick (reds + pinks are the go to for this). I have been reading into the idea of a capsule wardrobe, whereby you purchase a number of items for a season that mix and match. This is good for many reasons, mainly because you don't have to continuously buy new clothes and also it saves time as you can plan what to buy and know that each outfit will work. I have been searching the Internet and I think I am going to finally go for it and try it out this A/W.

The pieces I have attached are a rough idea of what I want; warm, comfy and flexible. Many of the items can be worn casually as well as dressed up with say a piece of jewellery. I have been in a bit of a skirt phase recently and I've been loving it, I avoided them for a while due to the fear of my legs being exposed (even when in tights). I think my confidence has improved a lot and I'm becoming a bit more experimental in terms of what I wear!

Please let me know what you thought of the capsule wardrobe idea! Any tips and suggestions will be appreciated!
