YouTube and Noodles!

Hello my lovelies, So as some of you may know, I have been trying to start a YouTube channel. This is so daunting for me and scares me so much, however, one of my close friends Amanda was kind enough to help me! We decided to do the "Best Friend Tag" which will be uploaded next week sometime! We had so much fun making this and the outtakes are hilarious, including some violence on Amandas part!

Also, I went to a noodle bar on the weekend with amanda and it is now my new favourite place to eat, I'm a bit awkward when it comes to trying food but Amanda suggested it, I am in love with noodles as from now.

Let me know if you have any ideas on what videos we could make I'd love to hear your suggestions!

A weekend with my sister!

Hello my lovelies, as you know I am at university, 3 hours away from home. This means that I hardly get to spend time with my family so seeing my sister for a whole weekend was lovely. Leeds is such a great city with so much to do! My sister, Chloe, needed to find a dress for her ROA (prom) so we spent most of the weekend searching through the shops! We also went to an amazing cinema which had sofas and pillows instead of your usual cinema seating! We spent our time also eating in Pizza Express, Nandos and TGI fridays!

I thought I would share some photos from the weekend!

I had such a great weekend, did you get up to anything? Let me know!

Be Happy in your own skin!

I think one of the biggest problems amongst teens today is self-esteem. For some reason we all wish we could change this and change that at whatever cost. I think one of the most important parts to being happy in your own skin is to accept your flaws. I have suffered from bad skin since I became a teen and to be honest, I let it control my life. I hated taking pictures, going to school with little makeup and was so jealous of all my friends with their amazing skin. After years of acne, it has finally gone and in all honesty, it wasn't worth all the fuss and worry. Towards the end of my Acne I stopped being so self conscious and started to embrace other things such as my hair and my clothes. I took the focus away from the negative and it was the best thing I've ever done! After realising that things could be much worse, I began to love myself and accept that everyone has things that they don't like about themselves! So my first tip is to accept and love yourself, like Queen B says, flaws and all.

It's so hard to ignore what people say and discard their opinions. In high school, I was so wrapped up in what people thought about how I acted or what I wore, even what music I liked. I've come to the age where I only listen to the opinions of people who really care about me such as my close friends and family. If someone is making you feel like you should wear something different or look different, chances are they aren't worth the hassle. People who care about you will boost your confidence and accept you for who you really are. I hate that some people are made to feel so little when in reality, it's nothing and just another individual being unfair and nasty. So my second tip is to ignore the opinions of those who do not matter to you! We live in a world where unfortunately people will try to hurt you or bring you down but rise above it and stay true to what you believe.

Surrounding yourself with positivity is an amazing thing. Whether it be be positive people, positive music or reading positive quotes, it can change your life. I love using instagram and tumblr to find motivating quotes and pictures to life my mood and make me think about the future! My mum is such a perfect example of this, she sees the good in everything. If I have a problem I know that within minutes mum will be sending me quotes and pictures to help me see the good and think "well things could be worse! (thanks mum x)

There are so many more things to consider, I know we all have our personal problems but in general, I want everyone to feel happy in their own skin and not like an outsider. Everyone has their imperfections and it's important to remember that! no one is perfect and beauty comes in all different forms, shapes and sizes so smile and love yourself because life's to short to think otherwise!

Let me know if you have any tips and what you thought!

Superfacialist Tea Flower Mattifying Moisturiser!

Moisturising your face is so important, I love the feel of a clean moisturised face!

The product contains extracts from watercress, horsetail and nettle which mattify the skin. Salicylic acid which decreases inflammation and aids sebum blocked pores. I love this product as it is so light yet so effective, It really has transformed my skin. I have always suffered from acne and using moisturiser always worried me yet this has kept my breakouts at bay! Because Una Brennan is so experienced in skincare, using her products feels even better as you know that a lot of detail and effort has gone into choosing the ingredients! She has a wide range of products and I would really encourage you to have a look at the different ranges, they are brilliant!

Tanatomicals; Tan In A Can!

Hello my lovelies, as you probably know I am extremely pale! I have tried a million tans in the past and usually stick to my staple tan which is the St Tropez bronzing mousse. However, unfortunately this is not the cheapest of tanning products and as a student I can't keep splurging!

Whilst browsing through Superdrug I came across the Tanatomicals: Tan In A Can (£6.99) which caught my eye due to the bright and unusual packaging.

What I love about this product is the packaging. The fun names and descriptions gives that little bit extra to what is a brilliant product. The application process was so so easy and the 360-degree technology allows you to reach those awkward places and use the can upside down. In order to get an even application I also used a tanning glove which allowed me to smooth and rub in the product. The colour of the tan is a lovely light glowing brown which looks great on a night out or special event. I thought that as soon as I showered, the colour would come off however it kept put and did not smudge which is amazing! From the product I got 2 full body applications, still leaving some product left over so it really is worth it.

Let me know if you have tried any of the Tanatomical Tanning products and what you thought!

Soap & Glory: Make Yourself Youthful!

Hello My lovelies, as girls we all know that taking off your eye makeup on a day to day basis can take its toll on your poor eyes. Recently I have felt my eyes are more sensitive and sore so a bit of TLC was due.

I came across the Soap & Glory Make Yourself Youthful Rejuvinating Eye Cream (£9.33). This little pot is in gorgeous yet simple packaging and contains 14ml of product.

Although it looks small, a little bit of product goes a long way! I have found that the condition of the skin around my eyes as well as my eyelashes have improved a lot. It's quite a greasy product and very thick which I like as it feels like it is really moisturising my eyes. I love the size of the product as it means you can take it with you if you're travelling without any hassle.

Let me know if you have tried this product and what you thought about it!

Valentines day!

Hello my lovelies, just a quick post to share with you what I received for valentines day! I feel so blessed to have such amazing family and friends and i felt truly loved on valentines day!

I think there is a huge misconception around valentines day, people feel that if they are single, they can't celebrate. In my family, valentines day has always been about each other and appreciating one and other. Because I am at university I loved receiving little bits and bobs to make me feel as if my family were right there with me.

From my boyfriend, Ed, I received a gorgeous ring from swarovski which i absolutely adore, It means so much to me.

From my beautiful Mum I received this gorgeous ornament to make my room feel extra homely! I love things like this they look so shabby chic!

From my amazing Nan and Taid, I received this very yummy chocolate heart, it tasted amazing and lasted 5 minutes (Sorry Nan & Taid, you know I love chocolate!)

Lastly, I got these lovely heartfelt cards which lovely little messages to motivate me and remind me that I am always loved no matter what and that family are never too far away!

Just wanted to make a quick note to say:
I Love my family more than anything in the world, I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing and inspiring people!

I had a wonderful day and I hope you all did too! Let me know what you got up to!

Valentines Date Makeup!

Hello my lovelies, just a quick post on what makeup I used to get my Valentines Date look. I am just about to go for a meal with Ed and I wanted my makeup to be simple and romantic.

On my face I used a pink blush/bronzer after tanning as I wanted a light glow. On my eyes I have false eyelashes and bourjois mascara which is amazing! and a very light and natural smokey eye. On my lips all I have is a lips is a lip balm from the body shop. I have also highlighted my collarbones to make them stand out!

Let me know what you got up to and if you liked this look!

Real Techniques Starter Set!

Hello my lovelies, I have recently started creating makeup tutorials on YouTube so felt in was necessary to invest into some good brushes.

I have already own a couple of real techniques brushes and the quality is absolutely amazing with every brush bought. I decided to purchase the Real Techniques Starter Set (£21.99). Within this set you receive 5 full size brushes: base shadow brush, deluxe crease brush, accent brush, pixel point eyeliner brush and brow brush. Not only do you receive the 5 brushes, you also get a professional case & stand.

In terms of quality, these brushes are brilliant, I especially love the crease brush which allows a beautiful application of the eye shadow, great for creating a smokey eye. The detail-er brush is fab for reaching the inner crease or lining the bottom eye. It is great that you also get a little case in order to preserve the brushes.

These brushes are definitely worth a buy and are super easy to use! let me know if you have tried them an what you think!
