REVIEW: Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick

So, I have been on the hunt for the perfect bronzer / blusher and this is a great contender!  I saw this little gem on the shelf in boots and for some reason it really caught my eye.

I needed a bronzer / blusher for holiday and popped into town to grab one quickly (a rare thing for me to buy without reading reviews). The 4 colours provided within the compact compliment each other so well. The shimmer is gorgeous and it really does give you that "instant glow".

This shimmer brick gives such a lovely colour and really illuminates your face! I can't believe I didn't find it earlier! I will upload a before and after photo in the near future as I will be uploading a summertime make-up tutorial.

In the mean time, keep smiling!

Evening Holiday make-up!

Seems as I have just been on holiday, I thought it would be a good idea to write a little post on the products I used and why!

When you're in a hot country, it can often feel like your make-up is about to melt off your face! I wanted to use products that were light and gave a natural look.

The products I chose to take on holiday worked perfectly for me. I have combination/normal skin however, I seem to get breakouts quit easily on my lower cheeks. I didn't want heavy make-up as I knew it was going to be hot.

So, face first! The Benefit - The POREfessional (£24.50). THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING! it is expensive but my god it is worth every penny! I used the product before putting my BB cream on. It really is a lovely product and leaves your face looking poreless and silky smooth! I also think it prolongs your make up and keeps it put for longer! I really didn't want to take a full on foundation with me as I felt it would clog up my skin and melt off anyway. I decided to take a good old BB cream. So what is a BB cream you ask? A BB cream is a moisturiser, primer, sunblock, foundation and anti-ageing cream all in one! I love the feel and smell of the SEVENTEEN Blemish Balm BB Cream SPF 25 (£6.99). It has a nice coverage however it does not cover everything! This is where my concealer comes in! I like to use the SEVENTEEN Stay Time Concealer (£4.49) which has a really nice coverage and lasts for ages! I try to dot the concealer sparingly on my problem areas so that I don't waste it.

Next product I took was the SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Shimmer Brick (£4.99). This product is amazing, I really am pleased with the results! It leaves your cheeks with a lovely warm glow and also has a lovely highlighting effect! love love love this! For my lips I used the Stila Lip Glaze - (c3) Tropica Punch  (£15) which is such a summery colour! I love the lip gloss because it isn't too bold but there is enough colour to notice it. It lasts for such a long time and makes your lips look that little fuller! love it!

This is the Lipsy Daytime Doll Set (£4) and it is such a great palette! I really love the golds and brown as they stay in place and give such a great colour to my eye! The gold has a lovely shimmer to it and really opens up my eyes! I have had this palette forever and it really doesn't seem to run out! There are also two lip glosses at the bottom. However, I don't tend to use those much.

I used these lashes for the first time on holiday and they looked lovely! I recieved them as a present and they lasted 3-4 days! They also looked very natural as the lashes were set in a criss cross way. Really impressed with the quality of the product and how long they lasted.

Here is the look re-created at home. I really like the natural look so the products I chose to take really impressed me. I am not wearing the lashes in the photograph above but I used the Benefit They're Real! Mascara (£19.50). A very worth while investement!

What looks do you like to go for on holiday and which products do you NEED to take! let me know!

Life update!

So I have not posted in a long long time! I have been so busy over the past month, it's literally been crazy. I finished college in July and since then things have been non-stop!

First of all, I went on my first grown-up holiday!! I have never been on holiday without my parents so for me, this was a huge deal. My boyfriend and I decided we would love to visit Old Town, Albufeira. It is such a lovely destination full of character and amazing things to do. The restaurants were amazing and everything was so tasty. Not only that but it felt like such a warm and welcoming place (which was reassuring as I was a little scared to be without abroad without family if I am honest!).

On holiday we spent our time in a lovely apartment, right in the center of the old town. The apartment was amazing, we were so impressed at the standard of hospitality shown by the owners. When we arrived we were greeted by the manager, Ken. He had stocked the fridge with champagne, milk, butter and bread! He was such a funny individual! I will upload some photos of my holiday on another post!

Also, I have been working quite a bit which has taken up a lot of my week. I hope that everything settles down in the following weeks so that I am able to blog more! I have so many ideas yet it feels like I have so little time on my hands!

Anyway,  lots of posts to come in the next few days!
