Mothers Day OOTD!

Hello my lovelies, hope you all had a fab mothers day!

I had a really nice weekend at home with my family which was a nice change from the university environment. My Mum looked so elegant and beautiful on Mothers Day, as usual.

She wore a lovely champagne coloured silk top with a ruche effect on the sleeves. Paired with some jeans, mum wore some gorgeous brown leather boots. To top off the outfit she wore an elegant necklace which really complimented the top.

Mum looked fab and I am glad she had such a great day! She deserves to be spoilt!

How I Pack My Skincare For Traveling!

Hello my lovelies, So yesterday I decided to go home to Wales in order to surprise my Mum for Mothers day. Because it's a 3 hour train journey with train changes, I don't like to pack too much as it becomes uncomfortable.

In order to keep my cosmetics and skin/body care products organised and accessible, I decided to buy this super handy travel bag from Primark. It only cost me £4 and it is so cute as well. It consists of 3 clear compartments whereby you can detach the middle which is fab as you can use it as a makeup bag for your main bag or whatever.

I'm so glad I bought this as it is so handy and also a great size to compact everything you need together. I love that the compartments are see through as it lets you get to what you want quickly as well as easily.

Natural Makeup Look!

Hello my lovelies, I have just filmed a hair tutorial and wanted to show you all my make-up for the day. I wanted to go for a really natural look but still have that cat eye-liner.

To get the flick, I just extended my eyeshadow from the bottom lash line. I didn't apply any to my lid as I wanted to keep it simple. In terms of skin I moisturised and applied my Bourjois CC cream to even out my skin tone. On my lips I used a very lightly pigmented lip gloss from the Kelly Brook range.

Let me know what you thought of this look!

Spring Outfit Of The Day!

Hello my lovelies, just a quick post with my new video. I thought I'd take advantage of the good weather here in Leeds and do a spring OOTD. I love wearing dresses and had fun making this video.

Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Definition Mascara!

Hello my lovelies, I thought I would do a review on the Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Definition Mascara - Max Black 51 (£9.99). I have been using this mascara for a good couple of weeks now and I have decided on what I like and don't like about it.

When I first got this product, I hated it. No matter how carefully I tried to apply this product, way to much of it seemed to transfer onto my lashes and it looked ridiculous. Maybe it's just my mascara applicator skills but for me, I did not enjoy the caked eyelash look. Also, at first, I found this mascara impossible to take off, even with my favourite eye make-up remover. Both of these factors really irritated me so I stopped using it and gave up.

In the past week I have decided to give it another go and I am so impressed, it's like a new product and I have no idea how! Maybe it was my eyelashes but now the application is fine and it comes right off when I want to remove my make up! Unlike before, this mascara now makes my eyelashes looks fab, I love it!

I really recommend this mascara, I am unsure why I had problems with it at first however, I really have changed my mind, I will definitely be repurchasing.

University Room Tour!

So I've nearly finished my first year at university which feels completely unreal. It feels like only yesterday I was applying. As the second semester comes to an end, I thought I would show you all my room.

I wanted to take a couple of photos to sum up the feel and look of my room. Although it is a small space, I loved making it my own.

Natural Hair & Beauty Updates.

Hello my lovelies, how are we all? Recently I have been all about my natural hair. I have always used heat tools whether it be a hair dryer, hair straighteners or a curling iron. I feel it's time to give my hair a break and let my curls out.

I have always had curly hair since I was a little girl. When I was younger my hair seemed un-tamable, tight ringlet curls meant brushing was not the easiest thing to do. I find that now I am not spending so much straightening my hair, that I have much more time in the morning which is good as I am always running late.

In terms of make-up I have been loving the brown smokey eye and full eyebrow look. I have never really been in to overly grooming my eyebrows however, I find that since giving them a little more tlc, they really do shape your face. I have fallen in love with a few products over the past month so I will be posting about them very soon, I feel like the make-up market is absolutely fab at the moment with so many great products and for great prices.

Listerine and Vinegar Foot Soak?!

Hello my lovelies, Recently on Pinterest I've been seeing these Listerine and Vinegar foot soaks. Curious about whether they worked or not, I decided to give it a go.

All you need to make the foot soak is;

60ml Listerine
60ml White Vinegar
125ml Warm Water

Soak your feet for 15 minutes before removing. After removing my feet I decided to use a Pumice stone in order to remove any dead skin.

I am please to say, this is an impressive foot soak. My feet feel so soft and look great. For a foot soak that costs near to nothing, this is fab. I would suggest adding some moisturiser after the soak, maybe one with a scent as I don't think anyone wants their feet to smell of vinegar!

Give it a go and let me know what you thought, I'm so impressed!

Nair Body Wax Strips!

Hello my lovelies, So it's been quite sunny here in Leeds over the past few days and as we Brits do, we get extremely excited about the slightest hint of good weather. I love wearing dresses in the spring and in order to do so, you need to have your legs in shape! I have never waxed my legs before so I thought I would give it a go!

I purchased the Nair Body Wax Strips for Legs, Body & Bikini with Argan Oil & Jojoba Oil (£6.69). However, they were on sale for only £3.33 in Superdrug.

With the product you receive, 20 Argan oil wax strips, 2 Cooling pre-wipes and 2 moisturising post-wipes.

The package states that these wax strips are for hair as short as 1.5mm and results last up to 4 weeks. You can use these strips on your legs, body and bikini line.

Before using the wax strips you must clean the area with soap and water, following with the pre-wax wipes. In order to heat up the wax strips I used a hair dryer on low heat. The great thing about the wax strips is that they have a heat indicator which lets you know when the are ready. After heating, I pulled the two strips apart and applied one to my leg. Before pulling the strip off, you must first brush the hair down in the direction of growth. When you are ready you pull the strip in the opposite direction, making sure it remains parallel. When you are finished waxing you must apply the post-wax wipes.

In terms of how effective this was at removing hair, I'd say it worked pretty well. I don't feel there are enough wax strips within the box however you can manage to wax the front of your lower leg. Using the wax strips is not painful however it isn't the comfiest of hair removal techniques.

I am please with the results and will let you know how my legs look in 3-4 weeks. I would purchase the product again however I feel like there needs to be more wax strips provided, especially when the original price is above £6. Not sure about you but I think the packaging seems a tad out-dated as well.

Let me know if you have tried these and what you thought!

Chanel's Rouge Coco Lipstick

Hello my lovelies, hope you are all well!

For Christmas last year I purchased the Chanel's Rouge Coco Lipstick - 45 Caractere (£24) for my beautiful mother. My mum tends to wear quite neutral browns/beige's on her lips so I thought this shade was perfect. After borrowing it a few times, I have fell in love with it.

In terms of the products texture, it is absolutely gorgeous on the skin. It is extremely hydrating and doesn't leave that dry lip feel that you get with some lipsticks. The colour is long lasting so you can apply this in the morning and expect it to last for hours. The packaging of the product is so beautiful and classy, I love how simple it looks and how the Chanel logo can suffice as the only detail to the casing. The great thing about Chanel is that there is a wide variety of shades to choose from in this range of lipstick, one to suit everyone.

I would definitely recommend this as a staple lipstick as it is so pigmented and you really don't need to apply a lot to get the look you want. It will last you a long long time! I get that £24 may be a bit pushy however, the quality is brilliant and the colour is gorgeous.

Let me know if you have tried this product and what you thought!
