Okay, so I am so excited to write this review. I have been on the search for the perfect foundation - as we all are - and I think I have found it. I have been watching and reading NYX reviews for years and have longed to try their products, when I saw Feel Unique started stocking the brand, I ordered straight away.
I decided to go for the NYX High Definition Photogenic Foundation which retails at £12.50. For me, I think this is a reasonable price for a foundation. In terms of spending history, the highest I have paid for a foundation is £40 and since then, I do not feel that money represents quality. When I first tried the foundation I was so impressed, like - literally blown away. I have not experienced this with a foundation before, I mean, I have always been satisfied with foundation but this foundation is something else! My immediate thought was relief that the shade matched, this is an odd sensation for me as foundations rarely match my skin colour. The coverage of this foundation is perfect - not too much and not too little. The finish is really lovely, very natural and really quite flawless! I have acne scarring and the odd blemishes and it covers it enough to look balanced and even. I really do love this foundation it has so many amazing qualities that I have never found all together in one foundation! The colour match, the coverage, the finish and the best part, the price. It is so nice to find a product that works well and that is also very affordable so repurchasing doesn't make you wince. I think the packaging of this product is very classic, I like that the plastic foundation bottle is housed in a lovely box to add a little luxury. The black and white theme tops it off because, as we all know, minimal is my favourite look. In terms of lasting power, I can happily say it stays put all day! I am very happy about this as I had gotten used to avoiding mirrors after 12pm.
All I can say to wrap this review up is - If you are looking for a foundation that has it all, please give this one a try. I can't express how lovely this product is and how happy I am to have found a product that doesn't disappear from my face half way through the day! I think I have kicked off a NYX obsession as I am not dying to try the rest of their product range - eyeshadows, you're next.
