SHORTBREAD
250g butter (unsalted + room temperature)
100g sugar
350g plain flour
MIDDLE TOPPING
400g condensed milk
50g brown sugar
50g butter (unsalted + room temperature)
FINAL TOPPING
2 bars of Cadbury's chocolate
STEP 1 // Pre-heat oven to 190C
STEP 2 // Put all of the ingredients for the shortbread into a bowl and continue to mix together with your hands. A dough will begin to form.
STEP 3 // Take the dough over to your baking tray (greased) and spread out evenly to create a base.
STEP 4 // Bake for 25 minutes and allow to cool. When you take the shortbread out of the oven, it will still be soft. Don't worry! It will harden as it cools.
STEP 5 // Put all the ingredients for the middle base into a pan and bring it to the boil. Once the mixture starts bubbling, boil for five minutes whilst continuously stirring.
STEP 6 // Pour the mixture over the shortbread evenly and allow to cool.
STEP 7 // Melt the chocolate either in a pan or in the microwave. If you choose the microwave add a drop of oil to get a silkier texture.
STEP 8 // Pour chocolate over your middle topping evenly and allow to fully solidify.
STEP 9 // Cut into desired size and enjoy!
