Blue For Summer

So it has been said by numerous sources that blue is in this summer, especially when it comes to eye makeup. Even Marc Jacobs Incorporated a gorgeous blue eye in the spring/summer 2014 catwalk. I have always had the idea that any use of colour on the eyes can look childish and cheap. This was before I learn how to blend and create different shapes and use different palettes. I always head for the nude shades when it comes to my eyes, I'd much rather hit up a bold coloured lipstick. I've decided to be a bit more adventurous and experiment more with different colours and textures. Here I have started off with a simple blue smokey eye with a winged liner. 

Taylor Swift Inspired Makeup

After recently purchasing the Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick - Wine 107 (£5.49), I couldn't help but feel the need to recreate the classic Taylor Swift red lip & winged eyeliner. I love how Taylor swift is known by this makeup look, she wears it so elegantly and she looks amazing. I love how simple it is with the bold black liner and bold red lip. Because I have such pale skin, I feel that a red lip tends to be my go to lip colour, it also makes your teeth look miraculously whiter!
